Journeyman Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

BCForward is currently seeking a highly motivated HVAC Systems Technician for an opportunity with our client Role: HVAC Systems Technician Location: Mt Pleasant, WI ( 100% Onsite) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Typical Day in the Role Candidate Requirements: Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including: • Adiabatic air handlers and evaporative cooling units. • Cooling distribution units (CDUs) and cycling pumps. • Split systems, VAVs, fan power boxes, and exhaust fans. • Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs) and Computer Air Handler Units (CAHUs). • Conduct equipment inspections, condition assessments, and performance diagnostics using Building Automation Systems (BAS). • Document maintenance activities and system performance in CMMS and change management systems. • Collaborate with CE Managers and site teams to ensure HVAC systems meet operational and safety standards. • Support interview and hiring processes for technician roles as needed. Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of experience with HVAC systems in critical environments such as in data center operations or other high-availability infrastructure environments • Familiarity with adiabatic cooling, evaporative media, airflow path management, and mechanical redundancy principles. • Certification in mechanical systems is a plus. • Strong understanding of mechanical diagnostics, fluid dynamics, and heat exchange principles. • Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately. • Required: All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification • Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent • Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include weekends • Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). HVAC Chiller Mechanic

FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a HVAC Chiller Mechanic to operate and maintain our large chilled water system and ensure optimal system performance. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Facilities Department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing. The HVAC Chiller Mechanic will manage seasonal operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain system documentation while assisting the Facilities Department as needed. Job Responsibilities: • Operate and manage complex industrial chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating chillers, with responsibility for maximizing equipment life and efficiency • Monitor and optimize system performance using advanced building management systems (BMS), analyzing trends and implementing predictive maintenance strategies • Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance, including precision alignment, vibration analysis, and oil analysis to ensure equipment reliability • Execute seasonal cooling tower operations, including shutdown procedures, chemical treatment programs, and winterization protocols to prevent equipment damage • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and local codes while maintaining all required documentation • Develop and maintain detailed documentation systems for operations, maintenance procedures, and equipment specifications • Design and implement energy conservation measures, including load shifting and optimal start/stop strategies • Support general facility operations including emergency response, mechanical room maintenance, and cross-training other personnel • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs while managing associated costs • Perform water treatment testing and chemical adjustments to maintain proper water chemistry in closed-loop systems • Conduct regular infrared scanning and ultrasonic testing to identify potential equipment issues before failure • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in HVAC or mechanical engineering required • Minimum 5 years experience as Stationary Engineer, HVAC Chiller mechanic or similar role required • Valid 1st Class Stationary Engineer License/HVAC Chiller Mechanic License or equivalent and EPA 608 certification required • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions Reasons you should work for us: • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. • Basic life insurance and short-term disability coverage provided by employer. • Supplemental life insurance and long-term disability coverage options available. • 401K with employer contribution. • Personal, Vacation, and Holiday paid time off for all full-time employees. • Onsite Aurora Health & Wellness Center available for all employees. • Employees are continuously encouraged to learn and grow their careers in smart manufacturing.
