What Youll Do • Maintain and Optimize Systems: Perform inspections, repairs, and PMs on HVAC equipment such as air handling units (AHUs), air conditioning units (ACUs), heat pumps, VAVs, and DDC-controlled systems. • Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose system issues, analyze data, and resolve problems efficiently to keep facilities operating safely and comfortably. • Work with Advanced Equipment: Service chillers, boilers, and kitchen HVAC systems experience here is a big plus. • Monitor Performance: Conduct rounds, record system readings, and track performance through the Building Management System (BMS). • Operate with Precision: Handle refrigerant recovery, charging, and system testing using best-practice techniques. • Collaborate and Improve: Partner with maintenance teams to identify opportunities to enhance preventative maintenance programs and overall system reliability. • Stay Safe and Organized: Follow OSHA and company safety standards, maintain clean workspaces, and keep tools, equipment, and logs in top shape. • Continue Learning: Attend manufacturer training sessions and stay up to date on the latest HVAC technologies and industry best practices. What You Bring • Education: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Certified two-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license preferred. • Experience: • Proven experience maintaining and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems. • Solid understanding of ACUs, AHUs, VAVs, DDCs, and ventilation systems. • Certifications: • Valid drivers license. • EPA Universal Refrigeration License required. • Technical Skills: • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and control diagrams. • Skilled with HVAC tools, meters, recovery, and vacuum equipment. • Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills. • Soft Skills: • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed. • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
