Job Title: - Residential/executive Level HVAC Service Technician Job Summary: --EMCOR Services Team Mechanical, Inc seeks an HVAC service Technician to perform maintenance and repair work as directed. The work is primarily in downtown Chicago, in luxury high rise homes and apartments, commercial real estate and medical facilities. HVAC Technician performs preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and service of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. HVAC Technician performs tests and analysis of data to assure the proper functioning of equipment and provide recommendations as appropriate. Understands control operation, and sequence of operation for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Must be well organized and keep accurate service and maintenance records. Works as a leader, has strong communication skills and is able to foster strong relationships with customers, vendors and team members. Follows all electrical safety standards and procedures, including training and coaching of apprentices and co-workers. Utilizes multiple trade skills such as carpentry, electrical, painting, and roofing, HVAC, and other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems. Maintains commercial properties by self-performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Safely operate company vehicle • Initiate and maintain positive customer relationships with all existing customers and potential new • Maintain a standard inventory of parts and tools on vehicle for use in the performance of • Maintain service vehicles in good, safe operating condition, attending to normal servicing and reporting to Manager when major repairs or reconditioning are deemed • Attend promptly to service calls dispatched through Service and at times direct from customer • Perform service, maintenance, and repair work • Complete the documentation of the service call on a service Invoice as per company • Return all required paperwork to the Service Group at designated times and assist office personnel with any questions they may have • Maintain an accurate record of time spent on customer jobs Qualifications: • 4 years of experience as a Service Technician desired • Demonstrate high mechanical aptitude. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Knowledge of good customer service techniques. • Congenial personality and a helpful, can-do attitude. • Physical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs & ladders, walking, and lifting of weights of 50 lbs. or less are required in daily performance of job. • Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing, and pulling, and material handling. • Use of torso and lower extremities required for kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting, and squatting. • Competed 597 HVAC Apprenticeship Program Safety Responsibilities: • Each employee has a responsibility for their own safety, the safety of their co-workers, and the community in which they are operating. • In the performance of duties and responsibilities, you are expected to observe all safety, health, and loss prevention rules, practices, and procedures, as well as specific instructions related to the safe and efficient performance of your work. • An effective and viable safety, health, and loss prevention program will be attained only when all employees are safety conscious and keenly aware, both mentally and physically, of the potential hazards of your environment. An experienced HVAC Technician will earn a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $85,000+ annually, plus bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
