Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and mechanical repairs. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties. The technician will work independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units and related equipment. • Troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards. • Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues and provide timely solutions. • Collaborate with other technicians on complex installations or repairs. • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed. • Adhere to safety protocols while working with refrigerants, electrical components, and mechanical systems. • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs. Skills • Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and practices. • Experience as a service technician in the HVAC/R field. • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams. • Mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and boiler systems. • Familiarity with appliance repair techniques. • Ability to perform equipment repair using tools such as an ohmmeter and welding equipment. • Experience in construction or property maintenance is a plus. • Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites. • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is advantageous. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
