In this role, you will install, service, or repair heating and air conditioning systems in residences or commercial establishments. You have past experience in an HVAC service technician role and hold an EPA certification. Responsibilities: • Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants • Establish customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction • Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution • Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring Qualifications: • Past experience as an HVAC service technician or comparable education • Valid Drivers License • EPA Certification • Experience with operation and maintenance of hvac equiptment • Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 40 pounds

HVAC Install Technician

Job Description: Position Summary: An HVAC Installer is responsible for installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and other equipment following manufacture specifications and company requirements. Equipment can include furnace, air handlers, indoor coils, UV lights, air cleaners and dehumidifiers, as well as outdoor coils and outdoor units. Hours: Work-Life balance - most field employees work 40 hours per week. HVAC

The job of HVAC was established for the purpose/s of maintaining heating/air conditioning systems; identifying repair and/or replacement needs; providing necessary information on the proper uses of the equipment; ensuring adequate materials are available to complete assignments in a timely manner; and directing assigned workers as necessary. BARGAINING UNIT MEMBERS CONSIDERED FIRST Work Year: 12 months 8 hrs./day 6:00am-2:30pm Qualifications: High school diploma or its equivalent required. Three (3) to five (5) years' of commercial HVAC experience required. Michigan Mechanical Contractor License preferred. Community College and/or Vocational School degree with study in a HVAC program desired. Must be able to meet physical demands of the working environment. Essential Functions: • Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently. • Diagnoses problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning / refrigeration systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and replacement needs. • Directs personnel as assigned for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the work force and meeting shift requirements. • Estimates materials and/or equipment needed to compete work projects for the purpose of ensuring timely completion of projects. • Installs heating/air conditioning/refrigeration equipment and systems for the purpose of providing comfort inside facilities. • Interprets schematic drawings or blueprints for the purpose of assisting in the layout and completion of work assignments. • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality for the purpose of ensuring efficient delivery of services to the District. • Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition. • Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information. • Repairs various items, systems and/or components for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition. • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items. • Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. • Transports various items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site. • Assists other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
