Learn more at www.amrize.com/careers Description: Location: Alpena Cement Plant MI Job Req ID: 14772 Join our amazing team and contribute as a: HVAC Technician ABOUT THE ROLE This position will be required to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. They will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. They will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, and emergency repairs. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH • Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). • Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed; connect motors to control panels. • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. • Ensuring compliance with MSHA standards. • Complying with service standards, work instructions and other requirements. • Other duties as assigned. • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: High School diploma/GED Additional Requirements: • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
