Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The HVAC Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems. Duties • Install and maintain HVAC/R systems in residential and commercial properties. • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, including boilers and refrigeration units. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during service calls. • Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs. • Drive company van to various job sites for service calls. Skills • Proficiency in field service techniques related to HVAC/R systems. • Strong equipment repair skills with a focus on boilers and refrigeration units. • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. • Experience in property maintenance is highly desirable. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities. We are looking for a talented Lead HVAC/R installer who is responsible for following and assisting with refrigeration system repairs, installation, and maintenance. You will also be responsible for Customer interaction and communication with the field supervisor and the administrative staff Main Responsibilities Include: • Work in the office and in the field coordinating refrigeration, HVAC and mechanical system installations. • Estimate installation-related projects and upgrades and communicate with the sales department. • Independently detailing, coordinating, managing, and completing installation projects. • Lead a team of technicians as required. • Work on service-related repairs with the Link HVAC/R service team; compressor replacements, refrigeration system repairs, crane lifts, rigging, motor replacements, maintenance, etc. • Detail and order materials for installation projects; refrigeration piping, ductwork, mechanical hydronic and pneumatic piping systems, mechanical insulation. • Stay abreast of and continuously update professional knowledge including regulations, learning about new products and features. • Support the HVAC Manufacturing Business Unit engineers and Sales departments as needed. • Maintain accurate records of all installations. • Work closely with other Team members and departments to ensure all project installation needs are met. • Coordinate projects with the back-office staff and operations in the field. • In-depth knowledge of industrial HVAC/R systems and their components. • Support and coordinate the installation of complex refrigeration and HVAC systems. • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Safety Standards with work performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment. • All other related duties as assigned. • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job. • Adhere and perform all duties aligned with the core values of the LINK Group organization, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, Commitment, Humility and Accountability. Qualifications: • Universal EPA 608 Certification required. • Minimum of 5 years of commercial/industrial HVAC/R installation experience. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Proven supervisory experience preferred.
