Commercial HVAC Technician with Experience

Employer: Thayer, LLC – Auburn, Maine (Augusta Region) Reports To: Service Manager Join our team and build a career, not just a job! Thayer, LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to serve commercial clients in the Augusta, Maine area. You’ll be dispatched from your home to the worksite and supported by one of Maine’s leading mechanical service providers. Position Summary As an HVAC Technician, you’ll perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems, and assist with installation projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, organized, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities while representing Thayer with professionalism and integrity. HVAC/R Service Technician - Commercial

HVAC/R Service Technician – Augusta office Mechanical Services, Inc. is currently seeking to fill the position of HVAC/R Technician based in our Augusta, Maine office. Successful candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience servicing, repairing, and installing commercial heating, ventilation & air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and heat pump systems. Will possess a Maine State Gas license with appliance service and installation endorsement preferred; large equipment endorsement would be a plus. Journeyman Oil #2 under 15 GPH license required. Over 15 GPH a plus. Professional & interpersonal skills are required to properly represent Mechanical Services, Inc., to customers, vendors, and other contractors in an ethical and professional manner. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively. Must possess a valid Maine driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment medical evaluation. Some state-wide travel may be expected with some overnight stays but very infrequently. The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, within a diverse team is very important. Must be able to read, write and understand equipment manufacturer’s documentation. Must be able to communicate effectively with our engineering department, customers, end-users, and all building trades. Must be able to safely access construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other areas where equipment may be located.
