The perfect candidate would have at least 5 years of experience in residential and light commercial service, installation and repair. Our company works in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Position Summary The Senior HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities • Driving to the shop in Newton, NH in the morning to go over your jobs for the day and pickup materials • Drive to possibly multiple jobs in a day and service our residential/commercial clients, or, to a construction site and work there all day • Install, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems (furnaces, central AC, ductless mini-splits, and related equipment). • Perform advanced troubleshooting on heating and cooling systems. • Conduct preventative maintenance and efficiency checks. • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes. • Maintain accurate job records, including parts used and time on site. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment • Provide excellent customer service and explain system issues and solutions clearly to clients. • Mentor junior technicians and apprentices as the company grows. • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service. Requirements • Candidates must hold EPA Section 608 certification • Oil Burner Technician Certificate would be nice • Minimum 5+ years of HVAC service and installation experience. • Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying environments (basements, attics, outdoors). Demonstrated ability to respond to alarm reporting per governing SOPs and coach junior technicians on alarm response • Practical application of equipment schematics, P&ID’s and engineering drawings as it relates to HVAC equipment. • Engineering documentation navigation. · Collaborate with Reliability and Engineering on projects and repairs. • Assist with root cause investigations related to equipment failures.
