About the Role: At Forge, we install energy-efficient heat pumps for homeowners across Greater Boston. We are seeking a knowledgeable, highly motivated, and customer-focused HVAC Solutions Expert to help support our growing direct-to-homeowner business. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in driving new business by assisting homeowners and guiding them through the process of selecting a new heating and cooling system. This consultative sales role involves listening to customers' needs, educating them on suitable solutions, and recommending the best options to fit their home and lifestyle. No cold-calling and no canvassing is necessary in this environment. To succeed in this role, you must bring 3–5 years of HVAC, heat pump, or related industry experience (sales, project coordination, or installation) with the ability to explain technical systems in a way that builds customer confidence. Compensation: $100-120k salary range with a target-based bonus structure aimed for a total salary of $130-150k on-target-earnings. What You Will Do: • Customer Engagement & Sales: Act as the primary contact for customers, assessing their heating and cooling needs through in-home site visits, phone and video calls, email, and chat while educating them on system benefits. • Site Assessments & System Scoping: Conduct in-home and virtual evaluations to determine installation feasibility, recommend the right heat pump system for each home, develop customized proposals, and address customer questions on unit placement, electrical requirements, and efficiency. • Customer Satisfaction: Refine sales strategies, provide insights on best practices, and ensure customers receive applicable rebates and incentives. • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with sales, system designers, and project coordinators to streamline operations and ensure smooth project execution. • CRM & Data Management: Utilize CRM software to track leads, document customer interactions, and provide feedback to marketing and leadership for process enhancements. Your Experience: • Industry Knowledge: 3-5+ years experience in the HVAC, heat pump, or energy industries (i.e. Solar, Home Performance Contracting, etc.). Knowledge of Mitsubishi and Bryant equipment is a plus. • Customer-Facing Roles: Background working with customers as an account executive, sales coordinator, project coordinator, office manager, HVAC technician, or other customer-facing role. • Process & Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems, quoting tools, and system builders. Minimum Requirements: • Full-time availability. • Valid driver’s license and vehicle. • Authorized to work in the U.S. • Willing and able to pass a background check and 4-panel drug test (no marijuana screening).
