This position plays a crucial role in supporting the functionality of our facilities, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. You’ll use your expertise to handle equipment repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance, all while working in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Refrigeration / HVAC Technician: • Perform maintenance and repair on commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems. • Use hand tools, digital devices, and power tools to complete repair tasks. • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls. • Use work order systems to track and document repair activities. • Inspect and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues. • Follow established safety policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. • Complete required training for safe operation of tools and equipment. • Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights as needed. Qualifications and Experience of Refrigeration / HVAC Technician: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance. • Experience with large-scale rack refrigeration systems. • Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling. • Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification preferred. • Mechanical license preferred, if required by location.
