The Electrician works closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to troubleshoot issues, minimize downtime, and implement preventive maintenance programs in compliance with food safety and quality standards. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and control panels in accordance with electrical codes and company standards. • Diagnose electrical malfunctions and implement timely corrective actions to minimize production downtime. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. • Ensure compliance with food safety, OSHA, and NFPA electrical safety standards. • Support automation and process improvement initiatives. • Respond to emergency repair requests during production shifts as needed. • Make layout of electrical circuits. • Make up material and parts lists. • Determine proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, switches, panels, fuses, etc. • Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating and power circuits. • Complete or direct the installation, connection, adjustment and calibration of electrical gauges and recording instruments. • May make repairs on ignition and electrical systems, including automotive equipment. • Any other duties required by supervision/management.
