Service Electrician I

Journeyman Electrician

Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Job Description We are seeking a state-certified Journeyman Electrician to work on commercial solar job sites. This role involves working with transformers, electrical rooms, AC electrical systems, disconnects, and combiners on various installations including flat roofs, ground mounts, and carports. The position requires extensive travel throughout Northern California and the Central Valley. Responsibilities • Work on commercial solar job sites, including rooftop, groundmount, and carport installations. • Handle transformers, electrical rooms, AC electrical systems, disconnects, and combiners. • Ensure proper grounding and bonding of commercial PV systems. • Utilize tools and testing equipment for solar installations, ensuring ownership and proficiency. • Troubleshoot layout or wiring issues independently on-site. • Interpret commercial electrical plans with proficiency, rating personal skill level from 1 to 5. • Lead and train other electricians as needed. Essential Skills • State certification as a Journeyman Electrician. • Experience with electrical systems, AC, solar installations, and conduit bending. • Proficiency in working with string inverters, central inverters, and microinverters. • Ability to travel frequently throughout Northern California and the Central Valley.
