Tessera is seeking an Electrician, Maintenance who plans, estimates and performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electric equipment and components. Typical duties include but are not limited to: • Work involves installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing problems in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment. • Replaces lamps and ballasts, cleans fixtures, repairs outlets, switches, connections, sensors, and ground fault interrupters, and performs miscellaneous electrical repairs. • Repairs panel boards, motor control centers, transformers, and circuit breakers. • Installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components. • Inspects, operates, and tests industrial equipment to diagnose malfunctions. • Plans and lays out work using diagrams, drawings, manuals and schematic diagrams • Keep records of maintenance, work performed and cost of work. • Portable handheld electronic devices shall be used, where applicable, in the performance of daily duties for purposes including but not limited to documenting work, timekeeping, and ordering materials • Restores fixtures to proper operating condition and lighting to current Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) standards. • This position may be subject to call-back availability based on operational needs. Qualifications: • Highschool Diploma/GED is required. • Minimum 3 years' experience Commercial and Electrical Systems and Controls • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and maintenance practices. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly. Summary/General Description Of Job: Incumbent uses various tools, testing instruments and equipment to install, inspect, repair, maintain, adjust and troubleshoot various pieces of electrical equipment. May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment.
