What We’re Looking For: We are currently hiring a full-time Electrician. The Electrician will report to the Electrical Manager and will implement and oversee all electrical aspects of the plant and related equipment. As an Electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair packaging, processing, and facility electrical systems. As well as exercising independent judgement in determining operating conditions, malfunctions (troubleshooting), repairs and emergency situations. It is imperative that the candidate selected demonstrates a thorough knowledge of electrical theory, practices, procedures, equipment, tools, and materials. Should have experience in machine and motor repair, building maintenance, panel wiring, computer use, computer networking, and PLC knowledge and programming. Installation, maintenance and repair of packaging, processing, and facility electrical systems. Understand the National Electrical Code, state and local electric codes and ordinances. Install, repair, and perform maintenance of conduits, high and low voltage systems, lighting circuits, panels, regulators, emergency power generators, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, switch boxes, and related electrical fixtures and equipment within the facility per code. Observes and interprets meters and gauges and performs electrical system repair of boilers, refrigeration, and auxiliary equipment. Monitrs/inspects the facility for electrical/mechanical problems and/or equipment malfunctions. Maintains departmental maintenance records and logs. Notifies supervisory personnel of conditions affecting operation of equipment or safety of staff. Helps maintain general cleanliness of maintenance/electrical areas. Works shifts and overtime as required. Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions/courses to become and remain current with required electrical licensing/code changes, principles, practices, and current trends in the industry.
