BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students by developing students' skills and competence in basic and advanced electrical techniques, tools, and practices, safety protocols as well as an understanding of the application of electrical principles in practical and real-world scenarios. • Implement a comprehensive electrical curriculum and maintain familiarity with district and New Jersey State vocational standards and certifications for the purpose of adapting curriculum to maximize student achievement and certification success. • Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for electrical, translating them into practical learning experiences to develop sequential skills, challenge students, and effectively utilize instructional time. • Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to meet individual student needs, including those with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as necessary. • Evaluates student progress through assignments, projects and exams on a regular basis and prepares progress reports. • Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the electrical and educational fields by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings.
