In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production electrical systems, instrumentation, and control equipment. Key Responsibilities: • Design, select, install, and maintain production instrumentation, wiring, and control equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control systems, including ATS, PLCs, communication networks, motor starters, VFDs, and electromechanical systems. • Test, repair, calibrate, and modify equipment across electronic, vacuum, mechanical, and chemical systems. • Collaborate with Engineering and third-party contractors on control equipment design and programming. • Analyze and apply NEC500 and NFPA70 codes to evaluate and implement electrical designs. • Install factory wiring in both general and classified (C1 D2) areas. • Create redline “as-built” modifications and prototypes for process improvements. • Support maintenance of pumps, boilers, heaters, HVAC, and related mechanical/electrical components. • Maintain inventory of critical parts, order materials, and support spare parts management. • Ensure compliance with Lock Out/Tag Out, Hot Work, and all safety/environmental procedures. • Attend Engineering meetings to provide input on equipment updates and installations. • Operate fabrication tools such as drills, conduit benders, and threading machines when needed. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Minimum 10 years of relevant hands-on electrical experience (production or industrial setting). • E2 electrical license strongly preferred but not required. • Technical certification or degree in Instrumentation, Controls Systems, or related field may substitute for some experience. • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics for PLCs and power distribution. • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and hazardous location requirements. • Experience with calibration tools and vendor calibration software. • Knowledge of HVAC systems repair and maintenance a plus. • Ability to install conduit, wiring, plugs, switches, lights, and other factory electrical components. • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and report-writing skills. • Knowledge of current trends and advancements in electrical and control systems.
