About the position Responsibilities • Participate in on-the-job training to learn the practices, methods, and techniques of the electrical and maintenance trades • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled tasks to develop proficiency. • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools and measuring instruments. • Drill holes and route wiring through walls and other structures using hand and power tools. • Thread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate support brackets. • Trace electrical faults or short circuits using test meters under supervision. Requirements • Completion of an approved apprenticeship, or a minimum of 1 year of electrical trade school. • Must have an active non-commercial driver's license. • Able to quickly pivot between work tasks when unplanned events occur that need immediate attention. • Able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds. • Able to read, write, and comprehend English; able to follow verbal instructions. • Experience with Word, Excel, Teams required. • Must be at least 18 years old and be able to read and write English. • Employment with ESU is contingent on the selected candidate passing a thorough background check that includes: FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse, and employment.
