Entry Level Electrician – What You Will Do You will work directly on commercial electrical job sites throughout Houston (commercial buildings, medical offices, universities, retail centers), driving directly to and from the job site from your home (no overnight travel!) • Install new electrical in commercial buildings using measuring instruments and hand tools to measure, cut and bend wire and conduit. • Perform electrical installations – wire, conduit and electrical components. • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites, ensuring safety and that work is performed to project specifications. You will drive your own vehicle and tools to job sites. Entry Level Electrician – Requirements: • You are interested in growing your skills in a commercial electrician career • You have reliable transportation for travel to and from the jobsites • You provide your own tools to utilize at the jobsite • This role requires successful completion of a drug test and background check prior to start date You will work on commercial job sites within Houston and the surrounding areas (no overnight travel!) Ideal schedule is 6:00am - 2:30pm schedule, depending on jobsite. Compensation $15 per hour + potential for overtime (dependent on your level of experience) and additional bonus potential. Journey Electrician

Department: Minor In-House Construction Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education Description: Under general supervision, maintains electrical service to university owned buildings. Maintains branch circuits for convenience outlets, lighting, motors and controllers. Maintains emergency power circuits. 1. Inspects and repairs electrical service within buildings, including electrical distribution, branch circuits, associated breakers and distribution panels. 2. Inspects and repairs emergency power circuits within buildings, to include distribution and branch circuits. 3. Repairs/replaces damaged or faulty electrical devices in electrical distribution throughout buildings, i.e., breakers, wiring, controllers, convenience outlets, light fixtures, lights, etc. 4. Completes work orders, emergency tickets and preventative maintenance assignments. 5. Works with outside electrical supplier (HL&P) to ensure that all power lines are free of obstacles; works with suppliers and outside contractors in restoring overhead power to buildings. 6. Serves on special task force during periods of emergency, such as floods, storms, hurricanes, etc. 7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. THIS JOB REQUIRES A VALID TEXAS DRIVER'S LICENSE. MQ: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Requires technical certification or licensing directly related to the job, as specified on a job description addendum.
