Job Summary: Maintenance Tech.( L3): Licensed Electrician Location: Moses Lake and Surrounding areas Key Responsibilities: · Repairs and maintains electrical systems and control systems on equipment. · Troubleshoots and repairs equipment, electrical networks, control panels and other control system components. · Interfaces with supervisory personnel about equipment conditions and difficulties in the electrical system. · Maintains, repairs, and installs plant lighting (LED) · Utilizes electrical/electronic prints/schematics, ladder logic, plant computer systems, the current National Electrical Codes, and test equipment to complete assigned tasks. · Takes electrical and maintenance calls when on shift or on call and performs and completes all jobs as assigned. · Enters and performs work on work orders; plans and schedules additional work as needed. · Understand the purpose of Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance and participate in these Programs. Complete work ticket and PM documentation including spreadsheets and work ticket software. · Maintains work area in a clean and functional condition. · Must be able to locate parts and reference part numbers. · Must be able to accurately enter data into computer and into daily paperwork in a timely manner. · Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Mentor and train junior team members in electrical work. Provide accurate assessment of vendor quote. Program and troubleshoot control systems identify, diagnose, and fix issues in custom equipment with electromechanical trouble shooting Program systems using ladder logic in different languages (Allen Bradley & Ignition a plus). Performing regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools and building. Performing set ups, tune ups and runs equipment and machinery around the plant. Performing duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Participating in safety, CI and other programs and meetings. Summary This role is responsible to understand electrical systems and equipment. This individual in this role must be capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the system. This electrician will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the electrical systems and all related equipment and systems along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. It is imperative this person conduct themselves in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of equipment and its surroundings. Work relationships and communications are key ingredients to the success of the individual holding this role. They must be able to maintain open communications and productive work relationships with team leaders, operators, laborers, mechanics, other electricians, supervisors, and shift managers. The area of work includes both inside the facility and outside, depending on work requirements. This position offers a $1,250 sign-on bonus and up to $2,500 in retention bonuses. There are two plant facilities that make up the Moses Lake Production Campus. The selected candidate for this role will begin their training at one of these facilities and then will be assigned to one of the two locations after training is complete. Must be able to work in extreme environments: hot, cold, wet, and slick floors. • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, catwalks, and maneuver in close quarters. • Must be able to use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as respirators, SCBA, and safety harness as appropriate for given tasks. • Must have complete understanding and safe operation of hand, power, and shop tools. • Must be able to read and understand basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. • Must furnish own hand tools. Position Responsibilities • Maintain, install and repair electrical building systems and associated electronic systems to board level, typical of which are secondary power distribution systems, boilers, air compressors, vacuum systems, generators, doors and 400 cycle aircraft power distribution systems. • Maintain, install and repair electrical equipment and systems typical of which are production manufacturing process and material processing equipment and systems, proportional integral derivative (PID) feedback loops, open loop systems, portable welding equipment and ground support equipment. • Perform testing, servicing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, adjusting, repair and replacement of electrical systems. • Plan, sequence and perform diagnostic analysis through operation of machinery, equipment, etc. and/or observation of such operations, and/or through analysis of information provided through test equipment, equipment self-diagnostic systems or computer aided diagnostic systems. • Develop and establish methods to accomplish required maintenance, repair, retrofit or modification of equipment and machinery. • Prime Power (480V) Experience Required • Maintain, install and repair electrical primary power distribution systems. • Perform primary and secondary test on electrical breakers during routine maintenance. • Replace, update and retrofit breakers as required. • Perform routine tests on high voltage switches and protective relays, using high-potential test equipment (Hipot), replace high voltage switch or protective relay, as required. • Monitor current, voltage, frequency and watt-hours at sub-stations using monitoring systems and/or equipment. • Coordinate with others to facilitate prime power activities. • Install and connect electrical power circuits and electronic control systems of Plant Facilities, and perform necessary corrective operations and adjustments at the time of installation to insure facilities operate as required. • Determine power and load requirements, wire size and conduit requirements, current required and demand load with respect to distance from power source. Physical Demands and Potential Hazards: • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs. • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
