Job Summary This position is responsible for completing repairs, performing preventative electrical maintenance throughout the facility, troubleshooting, responding to calls, working closely with operations and production supervisors to ensure efficient operations, maintaining records, logs & files. Duties and Responsibilities Write and modify extensive PLC and HMI programs for the following: • Allen Bradley • Modicon • Omron • PLC5 • SLC5 • Control Logix • Motion Control Troubleshoot or establish control networks for the following: • EtherNet/IP • DeviceNet • DH-485 • Modbus Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot process control systems Perform all duties within GMP standards Responsible for department compliance with GMP, HACCP & FSMA guidelines Minimum Qualifications Software skills to include: • RS Logix 500 & 5000 • ProWorks 32 • Wonderware • Factory Talk Must be 18 years old Proficient in Microsoft office suite and effectively use the internet, as well as Computerized Maintenance Management systems High school diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of electrical systems, control power and drive, sanitary control principles, operation and troubleshooting. Strong leadership skills Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out/tag out, confined space) Ability to read and understand blueprints Highly motivated, self-directed, able to work independently in a fast-paced production environment Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Position overview: Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, the Electrician will trouble-shoot, repair, program, replace, maintain and install electrical/electronic systems for production related equipment and building utilities within the facility. Equipment includes bodymakers, printers, washers as well as other packaging machinery. Responsibilities include following all local, state and federal electrical codes. Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems are also required. This position will also provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions. • *This is a full-time position working 12 hrs/day on a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule (work 7 days in two weeks). Duties And Responsibilities: The Electrician responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling or connecting electronic units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts. • Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning components, using hand tools or soldering iron. • Assemble, test, or maintain electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand or power tools. • Perform preventative maintenance or calibration of equipment or systems. • Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment. • Provide support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use. • Write reports or record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, or specifications to assist engineers. • Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation. • Will include other tasks as necessary for the operation of the department and the plant Benefits: Crown offers a generous starting wage, 401K, employee stock purchase plan, pension plan, a tuition reimbursement program for all employees, and more!
