Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and/or commercial settings. • Troubleshoot electrical issues with strong problem-solving skills. • Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with code requirements. • Collaborate with team members and clients with professionalism and attention to detail. Skills • 3+ years of electrical experience or Residential Journeyman/Journeyman credential (preferred). • Strong knowledge of safety practices and electrical codes. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred). • High school diploma (required). • Diploma in relevant vocational training or completion of electrical apprenticeship. • Valid Driver's License (required). • Electrical License (preferred). OBJECTIVES • Own the full project lifecycle, from estimating support and design review to procurement, execution, and project closeout. • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, ensuring all milestones and financial targets are met. • Drive collaboration between field supervisors, subcontractors, and design professionals to ensure seamless project execution. • Maintain active communication with clients, architects, and AHJs to manage expectations and mitigate risks. • Lead contract administration, change order management, and RFI/submittal processes with accuracy and speed. • Monitor job cost reports and labor productivity, adjusting forecasts and strategies as needed to protect profitability. • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and cost control. • Proactively identify and resolve project issues, including scope gaps, schedule conflicts, and permitting delays. • Uphold company and regulatory safety standards through ongoing training, inspections, and enforcement of jobsite protocols. • Oversee project documentation using systems such as Procore, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam to ensure compliance and traceability. COMPETENCIES • Proven ability to manage multiple high-value electrical projects concurrently across commercial/industrial sectors. • In-depth knowledge of NEC, local codes, and commercial/industrial electrical systems. • Strong financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, budgeting, and cost control in a construction environment. • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and manage subcontractor performance. • Proficient in construction management tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project, Bluebeam, Foundations). • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics and ensure work meets quality and code standards. • Decisive problem solver with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of experience in electrical construction with at least 3 years in a project management role. • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred (State of Wisconsin). • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR Certification required. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
