About the position The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications to fill a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor in electrical engineering specializing in Power and Energy. This position will teach, conduct research, and provide community and university service. This is a full time, benefit-eligible position with a 9-month academic appointment. Requirements • An earned Ph.D. by August 2025 in electrical engineering, power and energy, or a closely related field. , • Strong commitment to undergraduate education and student success. , • Ability to teach introductory undergraduate courses in electrical engineering. , • Ability to teach mid- and upper-level courses in Power and Energy and related Renewable Energy Systems courses. , • Ability to teach online streaming courses as needed. , • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and undergraduate research. , • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences. , • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
