We are seeking skilled Journeyman and Master Electricians to join our team in support of the U.S. Department of State’s Electrical Panel Safety Inspection (EPSI) program at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC). This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility federal project, performing electrical inspections, system mapping, minor repairs, and compliance documentation under the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the 2024 OBO Electrical Code. You will contribute directly to the safety, reliability, and modernization of critical electrical infrastructure supporting U.S. operations in Iraq. Location: Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC), Baghdad International Airport – West Side Flight Apron Key Responsibilities • Perform technical inspections of U.S. Embassy Baghdad electrical distribution systems and constituent components operating at 600 volts in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) • Conduct system mapping of distribution equipment from Prime Power Source to facility branch circuits (excluding branch circuits). • Carry out visual and technical inspections under lockout/tagout procedures. • Execute minor repairs and adjustments during scheduled outages, ensuring work is code-compliant. • Provide the Contractor with asset condition reports, safety observations, and recommendations. • Recommend solutions for failing systems or constituent assets that cannot be corrected through maintenance and minor repairs. • Complete and submit required inspection forms, mapping data, repair documentation, and material reports • Support follow-up repairs and corrective actions validated by a Master Electrician. Qualifications • Minimum 18 years old with valid NEC Journeyman or Master Electrician license • Interested to work at U.S. Embassy facilities in Baghdad. • Security clearance requirements (one of the following): o Secret or Top-Secret Clearance for U.S. Nationals o MRPT clearance (American or Foreign National day workers) o RSO vetting approval for Red/Yellow badge day workers • Experience with electrical system inspections, mapping, and safety inspections under NEC codes. • Strong understanding of lockout/tagout, electrical panel safety inspections, and documentation processes. • Current licenses, trade certifications, and testing certificates maintained throughout the period of performance.
