Job Opening Details Maintenance Electrician Youngstown, OH Maintenance Electrician Ohio Valley Waste (Youngstown). is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to perform repairs and maintenance on various equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Responsibilities: • Diagnoses mechanical problems using charts, diagnostic software, technical manuals and expertise. • Able to fix single and 3 phase electrical power, perform mig and stick welding, and work on conveyor, compactor, and baler systems. • Perform preventative maintenance according to standard schedules. • Overhauls or replaces machine components and replace worn items. • Communicates with supervisor for clarification of problems. May discuss preventive techniques with equipment users to minimize future repairs. • Independently troubleshoot and maintain complex electromechanical equipment. • Installs and sets up new equipment and communicate with vendors regarding maintenance schedules. • Follows all safety policies and procedures. • Other job duties as assigned by the Company. Required: • High School diploma or G.E.D. • Minimum of 1 year equipment maintenance and repair experience • Driver’s License • Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience. • Employee must adhere to all site safety rules and regulations. Electrician

The class works under direction and requires thorough knowledge of and skill in the electrician trade in order to provide work direction and training over lower-level employees and/or install, troubleshoot, modify, maintain, and repair medium voltage switch gear, complex security systems, electrical wiring systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 40% - Provides work direction and training over lower-level employees. Installs, troubleshoots, tests, modifies, and/or maintains medium voltage switch gear and/or complex security systems. 20% - Coordinates with engineers, vendors, and/or contractors on campus projects; orders, procures, and/or purchases supplies and materials from vendors and/or contractors. 25% - Installs, troubleshoots, modifies, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring and fiber optic systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment including, but not limited to, electric panels, conduits, motors, appliances, fans, transformers, heating and cooling equipment, fire and other alarm/emergency systems, elevators, and/or switches. 10% - Installs and replaces lighting fixtures including, but not limited to, light bulbs, ballasts, switches, fuses, exterior and/or perimeter lighting; tests, installs, and/or maintains fire alarm systems and/or security systems and associated networking equipment. 5% - Completes material and cost estimates, reports, and logs; orders parts; maintains inventory of electrical supplies. Electrical Instrumentation Technician

JOB This is skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of high voltage, electrical and mechanical equipment, machinery, appurtenances, and facilities at the the Waste Water pumping stations and treatment plants. Work involves considerable responsibility and knowledge of industrial electronics for the performance of a variety of electrical and maintenance repairs in maintaining an efficient and effective operation of pumping stations and treatment plants. Incumbent must have considerable skill in a variety of electrical and mechanical operations and be able to use a considerable variety of bench, hand, machine and testing tools requiring accuracy and precision. Ability to perform repairs on different metering devices and make repairs on high voltage equipment. Assignments are made to specific jobs and generally include sketches, blueprints, oral or written instructions. Considerable independence is required in routine and complex assignments although he is under the direct supervision of the instrumentation/electrical chief and superintendent. Supervision may be exercised over any employee assigned to assist. Work is reviewed upon completion by superiors for proper performance and adequacy of results. This position requires considerable independence and knowledge of high voltage electronical repairs. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Operates machine, hand tools, testers in repairing defective parts of pumps, motors, valves, meters, chemical feeders, pump controls, and related mechanical feeders, pump controls, and related mechanical and electrical recording devices of Waste Water Treatment Plant and pump stations. Occasionally operates light automotive equipment such as trucks, fork lifts, front end loaders, and tractors.Performs skilled high and low voltage electrical work and does necessary repairs to a wide variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
