Journeyman Electrician -5YRS EXP REQ

Seeking Journeyman Electrician with 5 plus years' experience. Possessing the abilities to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Key responsibilities include reading blueprints, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, installing fixtures, and wiring, performing safety inspections and supervising apprentices. Daily responsibilities include but not limited to: • Installation: install wiring, fixtures, circuit breakers, outlets, and other electrical components according to blueprints and electrical codes. • Maintenance: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, panels, and circuits to ensure continued operation and safety. • Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical system malfunctions, broken components and safety hazards. • Troubleshooting: Use tools to identify and resolve issues in wiring and circuits. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA requirements, and other safety procedures for ALL installations and repairs. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of billable hours, materials used, and job progress. • Mentorship: Supervise and train apprentice electricians on the job site. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Licensure: A valid journeyman electrician license and TWIC card. • 5 plus years field experience. • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of electrical principles, components, and the National Electrical Code. • Reading Plans: ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose and fix electrical issues. • Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer service skills for client interactions. • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and working in various conditions. • Skills Testing: Must complete skills test before hire.
