RRC CORE VALUES Must understand and personify RRC’s core values: • Client Satisfaction – understands the goal of always exceeding our client’s expectations • Employee Happiness – able to work well with others, communicate clearly with coworkers, promote a positive work environment, and mediate conflicts between team members • Quality Work - able to take ownership, work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results on time while working on multiple projects simultaneously • Above and Beyond - versatile, flexible, able to anticipate the needs of the company, take the initiative, and willing to go out of your way to assist others ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and analyze collection systems for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage facilities. • Perform load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies to ensure system reliability and compliance. • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for collection systems and electrical designs. • Support field activities by providing guidance, addressing design issues, and reviewing technical documents. • Cross collaborate with various teams to integrate electrical designs into overall project development. • Review manufacturer equipment drawings • Ensure designs comply with national and local electrical codes (NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC) and interconnection requirements. • Prepare and review equipment specifications and procurement documents • Communicate effectively with multiple teams throughout the project.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in power systems and renewable energy integration • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, renewable engineering, or relevant field • Master's Degree in Engineering with renewable energy focus a plus • 3+ years of relevant experience in power systems, renewable energy, or utility-scale electrical engineering. • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. • Knowledge of electrical design software such as ETAP, PSCAD, SKM, or equivalent. • Ability to work on multi-discipline projects • Understanding of power distribution systems. • Technical writing and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. • Knowledge of renewable energy industry relating to utility scale wind and solar projects • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook • Problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.Ability to travel up to 10% • BENEFITS RRC is committed to investing in talented employees because we recognize that healthy, happy employees provide the best path to sustaining a successful business.
