Maintenance Electrician

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Job Description Seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Electrician for a plastic injection facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues and conducting routine inspections to ensure optimal machinery performance on plastic injection equipment. You will also perform preventive maintenance, mechanical and PLC troubleshooting as needed. Candidates must be able to read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and schematics, and possess relevant certifications and experience in industrial settings, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems in manufacturing environments. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on plastic injection equipment. • Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal machinery performance. • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and mechanical troubleshooting. • Troubleshoot PLCs and perform PLC programming as needed. • Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and schematics. Essential Skills • 5+ years of industrial multi-craft maintenance experience. • 5+ years of experience with LOTO and working with 480v 3-phase systems. • 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, machine drawings, and electrical schematics. • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting PLCs and PLC programming. • Formal certification, technical degree, apprenticeship, or journeyman card. • Ownership of a tool box and a set of basic tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Maintenance experience with plastic injection equipment. • Ability to read and interpret control diagrams. • Ability to program PLCs. • Welding and fabrication skills. Work Environment This facility primarily contains older equipment with frequent oil leaks. While there are plans to start upgrading the equipment this year, candidates must be comfortable working in oily conditions in the meantime. The work hours are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
