Electrical Commissioning Lead

As an Electrical Commissioning Lead, you will take ownership of planning and executing commissioning activities for complex electrical systems within a high-tech semiconductor facility. Your leadership will be key to aligning commissioning phases with ASHRAE standards, local regulations, and client specifications. This position requires both technical expertise and coordination across disciplines to ensure system performance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities • Develop and implement detailed electrical commissioning plans aligned with ASHRAE, LEED, Title 24, and client-specific standards. • Review construction documents, sequence of operations, specifications, and IFC drawings to confirm design intent and testing coverage. • Finalize Factory Witness Testing (FWT) plans and conduct pre-shipment testing at vendor sites, ensuring equipment readiness. • Oversee installation verification, perform field inspections for electrical systems, and confirm code compliance and design accuracy. • Lead electrical Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT), and issue Green Tag certifications upon completion. • Participate in Integrated Systems Testing (IST) to validate proper system interaction and support load testing, power quality analysis, and sequence validation. • Maintain and manage commissioning records using Smart Completions or equivalent tools, tracking deficiencies and corrective actions. • Produce clear, comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test reports, non-conformance logs (NCLs), and owner turnover packages. • Coordinate closely with MEP inspectors, construction teams, vendors, and facilities personnel to ensure seamless project delivery and system readiness. • Lead training sessions for facility operations teams and support post-occupancy commissioning, including LEED documentation and system optimization reviews. • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to your in your role. Skills Required • Minimum 5 years of electrical commissioning experience, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech environments • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA, Title 24, LEED, and ASHRAE standards • Proficient in electrical testing, SEL relay coordination, EMI shielding, and SEMI F47 compliance • Excellent communication, planning, and technical documentation skill Education / Licenses / Certifications • Journeyman Electrician license required. • OSHA 10 is required; NFPA 70E training and valid certification preferred. • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable. Electrical Construction Manager

Electrical Construction Manager Location: Fully on-site in Sunnyvale, CA Project Length: 24 months The new Equipment and Process Innovation and Commercialization (EPIC) Center, located in Sunnyvale, California, will revolutionize semiconductor manufacturing by advancing U.S. leadership in the industry. This cutting-edge facility will serve as a high-velocity, collaborative platform, changing the way foundational semiconductor technologies and process equipment are developed and commercialized. The EPIC Center is designed to accelerate industry time-to-market and reduce overall research and development costs, shaping the future of chip manufacturing and innovation. The project is a collaboration with Applied Materials and is a critical step in fostering innovation in the semiconductor industry, helping drive the U.S. to the forefront of this technology. As an Electrical Construction Manager, you’ll be at the center of high-tech construction projects, ensuring smooth coordination between design teams, contractors, and on-site personnel. Whether it’s troubleshooting field issues, running coordination meetings, or managing submittals, you'll play a key role in bringing complex electrical systems to life. Position Summary: The Electrical Construction Manager will work within the Construction Management department and will report to Electrical Project Manager. They will work closely with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and craftspeople to address complex electrical coordination issues. The Electrical Construction Manager will manage the Electrical Team and lead our onsite Electrical quality control efforts, which will include document review during preconstruction through commissioning and punch list. This position will be fully at the project site located in Sunnyvale, CA. Salary Range (iParametrics) - $120-150k (+Stipend) Essential Responsibilities: • Oversee electrical subcontractor and vendor installation work daily to ensure they are maintaining their installation schedule, support system startup, and commissioning activities. • Interface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical system startups. • Verify all documentation is complete and equipment being prepared for startup is construction complete and can safely be started. • Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements within the overall project design. • Organize and facilitate training of clients' personnel in the operations and maintenance of MEP systems. • Run startup meetings involving Area Construction Managers, design team members, multiple subcontractors, local utility agencies and clients to coordinate/drive MEP system start up activities. • Review and process project submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals to ensure the accuracy and functionality of each component of the various MEP systems. • Receive and distribute requests for information (RFI) and change documents issued by other team members. • Field survey of control lines and benchmarks. • Be the technical advisor at the onsite field construction office. • Assist in estimating electrical budgets and managing electrical team project staffing. • Secure electrical subcontractor and equipment buyout and manage electrical subcontractor contracts and contract modifications. Qualifications: Position Related Skills • Experience working in and around cleanroom environments. • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams), and have a general understanding of working within a computer network. • Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6). • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks. • Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques. • Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method. Familiar with CSI specification system for construction. • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all aspects of low voltage electrical construction. • Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills. • Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations. • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress. • Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships. • Ability to work closely with variety of trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential. • Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership. • Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences. Professional Experience and Education (Must Have) • A minimum of five (5) years of electrical construction experience required. • Specific experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects is required • Experience working in a live high-tech facility required. • LEED Accredited Professional, or the ability to become accredited within eighteen (18) months preferred. • High School diploma or GED required. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience required. • Education background in materials and methods of construction.
