Training in motor and motorcontrols, variable frequency drives, and PLC / BMS controls. Ability to readcomplex wiring diagrams, identify electrical components, and extensiveknowledge in troubleshooting of control circuits. Must be well versed in theuse of voltmeters, amp meters, ohm meters, meggers and amp-probes. Uses guidelines from theNational Electrical Code, local codes, safety regulations and standard practices. Wears PPE and ARC Flashequipment while performing live troubleshooting evolutions. Responsibilities: Essential duties andresponsibilities: Ability to read and understandsystem blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determineconfiguration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors,pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes. Installs power supply wiringand conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment. Connects powersupply wires to machines and building equipment, connects cables and wiresbetween machines and equipment. Diagnoses malfunctioningapparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCCcircuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damagedor broken wires, cables, and fuses. Dismantles malfunctioningsystems and tests components. Replaces faulty electricalcomponents of machine such as relays, switches, sensors, motors, and positionssensing devices. Plans layout of wiring andinstalls wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Responsible for accurate andtimely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities. Performs preventativemaintenance tasking on electrical and mechanical equipment. The selected candidate will support the Facility Maintenance Team in the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance of facility electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, apparatus, and other plant devices.
