The selected candidate will support the Facility Maintenance Team in the preventative, corrective and general maintenance of facility electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, apparatus and other plant devices.Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm** This position requires successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or graduate of a certified technical school **Responsibilities- Perform equipment checks & PMs- Start/Stop, troubleshoot, repair and maintain FAC equipment- Read and understand system blueprints, specifications and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts or pipes- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment; Connects power supply wires to machines and building equipment; Connects cables and wires between machines and equipment- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires, cables and fuses- Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, sensors, motors and position sensing devices- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings- Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork- Performs preventative maintenance tasking on electrical and mechanical equipmentQualifications- A valid Drivers License- Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or graduate of a certified technical school - 5+ years experience in an industrial or commercial environment- Experience with high voltage switches, substations, busway and bus plugs, MCC, transformers, breakers, panels, disconnects- Well versed in the use of voltmeters, amp meters, ohm meters, meggers and amp-probes- Experience with both single phase and three phase- Training in motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives and PLC / BMS controls is highly preferred
