Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist

Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist This role is part of our team that works on creating a better world through technology and innovation. We are looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at our New Johnsonville, TN location. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Maintenance First Line Supervisor and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation equipment within manufacturer's specifications. The candidate must have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to identify potential sources of trouble. They must also be able to work safely and follow all prescribed safety practices to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of documented industrial maintenance experience in Electrical or Instrumentation. Alternatively, they may have a minimum of 2 years of documented industrial maintenance experience plus one of the following: an Associate degree, equivalent from a two-year college, public or military technical training school, or NCCER certification. Skills demonstration will be conducted to review and confirm abilities. Responsibilities: • Repair and maintain machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments. • Engage in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machines and equipment. • Perform Lock, Tag, and Try (LTT) procedure on machines to assure equipment is inoperable and safe to work on. • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment and electrical circuits as required. • Perform chemical equipment breaks and vessel entries following site safety procedures. • Preventative Maintenance and troubleshoot process control computer systems (DCS), temperature, level, and pressure control instruments and processors. • Check and perform preventive maintenance on motor control center equipment; repair or replace motors as needed. Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of documented industrial maintenance experience in Electrical or Instrumentation OR minimum 2 years of documented industrial maintenance experience plus one of the following: Associate degree, equivalent from a two-year college, public or military technical training school, or NCCER certification. Determination of experience and relevance/validity subject to approval. Skills demonstration will be conducted to review and confirm abilities.
