Electrical Maintenance Technician

Electrical Maintenance Technician This role requires an individual with extensive knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment is properly installed, maintained, and repaired to prevent downtime and ensure productivity. Duties and Responsibilities: • Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. • Replaces/repairs AC/DC motors up to 500hp. May plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. • Detects malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools. • May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Requirements: • Thorough knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance procedures. • 5 years industrial experience – minimum of 2 years experience in a printing environment. • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and electronic industrial equipment. • Must be able to troubleshoot without prints and troubleshoot older equipment without PLC's. • Must possess good communication skills and be customer-oriented. • Successful candidates should be able to work in a team environment, but also be a self-starter who can work without instructions and/or with little supervision.
