Electrical Systems Specialist II

Job Description: As an Electrical and Controls Engineer II, you will be responsible for executing plant support, troubleshooting, and leading improvement projects for the Richmond facility. You will also support capital projects for Johns Manville as needed. This role will assist the Richmond plant in meeting or exceeding stated operational, environmental, and safety goals. Your Key Responsibilities: • Perform power, electrical & control systems engineering for all aspects of projects. • Prepare and review technical electrical specifications for equipment, processes, and projects. • Troubleshoot and correct operational issues. • Participate in/lead root cause corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence of issues. • Provide on-call support to plant operations for electrical and controls issues. • Assist in review and implementation of Corporate Specifications and Standards. • Track and prioritize issues in conjunction with other departments. • Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes projects. • Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives. • Maintain good communication with management and project customers regarding project status, problems, and changes. • Coordinate, review, provide oversight, and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed.
