Electrical Foreman 1

Electrical Foreman TIC - The Industrial Company is hiring experienced Electrical Foremen for the GTPP project in Orange, Texas to lead cable pulling, cable & channel tray installation and termination crews. Responsibilities include scheduling, tracking time, claiming quantities, scheduling work, task, and performance management. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence and safety in industrial construction. Texas Journeyman license preferred. Shift Information : Current Schedule is 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday Additional overtime may be required Must be willing to work weekends and nights when required. Primary Responsibilities and Duties Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote the safe, efficient and timely construction of the project. Ensure that construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained. Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports. May assist in developing a weekly schedule and in carrying out sequence of activities for assigned crew. Responsible for timely completion of work assignments within the estimated costs while maintaining the company's reputation for quality workmanship / product. Responsible for the safety of those on the crew and will conduct all operations according to all applicable company and government safety rules. Will develop and maintain a proper crew attitude by conducting toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to leadmen and crews. Monitor compliance by all employees under his / her supervision with all Company policies Qualifications Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under his / her supervision. Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of work assigned, train / teach safety practices, policies and procedures. Have a working knowledge of the scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management systems. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his / her supervision and management / supervision. Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player. Requirements The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction / industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and / or crawl Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required May be required to use ladders / mechanical platforms / manlifts / scaffold to access required equipment / work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment May be required / able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction / industrial site Must have required tools May require US drivers license Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and background check Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status. Industrial Electrician As an Industrial Electrician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying electrical devices and systems associated with feeder / branch circuits and over-current protection. Essential Functions & Requirements : • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times. • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic equipment such as motors, switches, timers, transformers, power rectifiers and photoelectric sensors. • Operates equipment and tools to complete work such as cutting, threading, bending conduit, removing and replacing conduit, fittings, and junction boxes. • Installs and connects distribution and utilization equipment components; ensures safety codes and National Electric Codes (NEC) are met prior to installation. • Draws, reads and interprets electrical schematics and one-line diagrams. • Conducts weekly / monthly calibrations as required by regulatory agencies. • Serves as an active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team (PERT); ensures electrical shutdown in case of an emergency. • Operates forklift or similar machinery as needed. • Maintains an understanding of and adherence to related State and Federal rules for waste management. • Utilizes the appropriately required personal protective equipment (PPE), as this position works around hazardous materials. • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
