Electrical Controls Process Specialist

Job Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Process Engineer to join our team and manage electrical processes for manufacturing facilities. This position involves designing, developing, installing, and maintaining equipment used to power and control industrial systems, machinery, and processes. You will be responsible for all equipment specification, layout design, quality, efficiency, and providing instruction and technical support to the manufacturing plants. About the Role • Provide technical support to facility maintenance departments on all electrical/electronic matters. • Direct, test, and diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as Programmable Logic Control Programs, drives, and motors. • Write and/or modify PLC programs. • Create and maintain electrical drawings and schematics. • Perform regular arc flash studies of each facility and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Perform analysis of electrical components to improve system reliability and reduce risks associated with improperly connected or overloaded circuits and devices. Responsibilities and Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Additionally, you should have: • Broad knowledge of technical fields applicable to Electronics Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Industrial Electronics. • A working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD), AC and DC drives, and PLC Control Logic. • Computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD. • Minimum 3 years' work-related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) is preferred. Job DescriptionJob Description Full job description We are seeking experienced Electrical Project Manager/Estimators to join our thriving team. We are looking for a passionate person that is looking to grow with the company and our partners. The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager will meet with customers to develop a scope of work, estimate, secure the award, and deliver a successful project. This is a critical role that will drive projects from planning and development, through delivery, and customer satisfaction. Candidates must have a proven track record for delivering projects on time and on or under budget. Responsibilities of the Project Manager include but are not limited to the following: The project manager must be a person who is well organized, have great follow-up skills, process oriented, be able to multi-task, have a logical thought process, know the NEC and local utility requirements, problem solver and self-starter, able to determine root causes, have good analytical ability, be a good estimator and budget manager, has good self-discipline, be able to communicate effectively with both the GC and the entire field staff. · Manage work in the following markets: Commercial, Industrial, High-Rise, Education, Retail, Restaurant, and Healthcare. · Understand, organize, and prepare all project drawings, scope of work, submittals, and needed job start up items that then can be handed over to the superintendent and Foreman. Meet with the superintendent and Foreman in order to knowledge and information of the project. • Identifying, tracking, managing and resolving project issues both presently or during the course of the project. · Supports supervisors and field employees. Informs field staff of time frames, funding limitations, methods for accomplishing project deliverables, and allotments of available resources to project phases. · Proactively distributing project information from the GC project manager and relaying this to the field. • Able to identify changes in scope and relaying all upcoming or approved Change orders to the field. • Ensuring that the end product will be financially successful and completed in a quality fashion through coordination with the field superintendent and Foremen. • Proactively managing scope to ensure that only what was agreed to is delivered, unless changes are approved through scope management. If field material orders do not match the estimated material advise the superintendent for correction or explanation. • Defining and collecting field and financial information to give a sense for how the project is progressing and whether the end result will be a satisfied customer and a financially successful project. Evaluates project progress regularly against established goals, timelines, and objectives. • Providing any and all schedule updates and changes to ensure the work is assigned and completed on time and within budget. • Communicate with the GC team in regards to schedule, delays, costs, scope, and issues that come up throughout the project to ensure overall project success. · Assemble and provide close-out documentation at the end of every project. Requirements for the Electrical Estimator/Project Manager role include: • Minimum of 3 years Electrical Estimating/Project Management experience • Two-to-four-year degree • Field electrical experience • Valid driver's license • Reliable transportation • A self-starter who is independently driven to succeed and excellent work habits • Journeyman or Master License · Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, estimating software, Outlook, Dropbox, Onedrive, Procore, Building Connected and similar programs.
