Electrical Foreman - Solar Renewable

Our work environment includes: • Growth opportunities • On-the-job training • Safe work environment • Wellness programs POSITION SUMMARY ETW Energy is seeking an experienced and innovative Electrical Foreman with a successful record delivering consistent and predictable results by driving continual improvement in safety, efficiency, and quality of solar and other renewable installations. The Electrical Foreman is a contributing member of a solar installation construction crew and is responsible to work as a team with the Lead and other Installers to complete residential solar installation projects and provide safety first leadership and direction at the job site. The Foreman provides leadership to the crew and is the technical expert on site to ensure the project is in compliance with applicable code and regulations. Additionally, responsible to ensure 100% site safety, reviews installation for quality issues, and interfaces with customers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership and troubleshooting skills, and will be able to work with little-to-no supervision. A successful candidate will also be able to keep our electrical systems up-to-date and meet current safety codes. Licensed Electricians are preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Establish and maintain a safety first job site with appropriate safety processes being followed, personal protection equipment, and safety training for personal and crew members • Lead and train site safety to other crew members to ensure effective, efficient, and safe installs occur 100% of the time. • Keep an orderly and clean job site and demonstrate a customer focused attitude at all times. Leave the job site better than it was when you arrived. • Supervise, direct, and train crews on proper installation techniques and best practices to ensure timely and quality completion of projects. • Execute with a high degree of quality and attention to detail that focuses on customer satisfaction and productivity while not compromising safety. • Complete installation and interconnection of solar array and electrical systems to the grid power of the site. Coordinate with other electricians or technical experts to ensure accurate completion. • Attend training sessions as required to learn new processes, product training, safety practices, and other sessions as dictated by leadership. • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of OSHA standards related to solar installations and immediately correct any practices that are outside of standards. • Strong relationship with crew and organization to think critically and solve problems with a solution oriented approach. • Main point of contact with the onsite customer throughout the installation. • Assist in all facets of the installation including assisting on the roof as required. • Safely install and complete battery installations and other complimentary equipment as requested. • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly inspection of work vehicles and tools to ensure all things are in working order and operating properly. REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS) • Minimum 3 year experience in solar and 2 years in construction. • Experience leading crews ranging from 3-5 • Ability to perform all installation duties of the Installer and Lead Installer • Experience with electrical work involving wiring up to 600 VDS and 480 VAC; licenses preferred • Must maintain a clean driving record and clean MVR to operate a vehicle. Must be 21 years older and possess a valid drivers license. • CPR and First Aid Certifications up to date and maintained in conjunction with employment with ETW Energy. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to transport materials safely up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to excessive noise, extreme heat and cold, wet environment, humidity, and sunny and low light conditions. • Ability to safely work on rooftops with changing pitches and angels requiring frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance. • Ability to work with the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses, and other personal protective equipment. • Hand functions require fine motor skills, including but not limited to manual dexterity, manipulation, grasping, and pinching. • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces such as rafters, roof shingles, and tiles and prevent damage. • Ability to work in spaces such as attics, crawl spaces, and basements as required that require kneeling and crouching. • Ability to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white, and green. • Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings. • Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate personal protective equipment. Electrician Technician

Job Summary: The electrician technician will handle troubleshooting and repairs to keep equipment running and minimize downtime while supporting all other members of the maintenance group with any other repairs, projects, etc. deemed necessary by the department manager. Essential Job Functions: • Proficient with electrical troubleshooting and repairs. • Test and replace fuses. • Test and replace solenoids. • Test and replace contactors / relays. • Test and replace proximity / limit switches. • Reset and replace breakers / motor starters. • Adjust and replace photo eyes. • Able to make conduit runs, wire pulls, and wire terminations. • Proficient in performing pneumatic and hydraulic system repairs. • Proficient working with single phase / 3 phase / 110V, 240V, 277V, 480V, and 24V control systems. • Able to work with Voltmeter/Amp Meter to troubleshoot electrical systems. • Proficient reading schematics/blueprints to troubleshoot electrical systems. • Able to troubleshoot AC / DC control circuits. • Able to troubleshoot motors and drives, then replace if needed. • Proficient at troubleshooting PLC’s and ladder logic. • Able to cross reference and change out electrical devices with other brands. • Able to troubleshoot by phone while communicating with other maintenance personnel or machine techs. • Able to circumvent problems and find ways to keep machines running. • Able to perform project work with little supervision. • Able to communicate and problem solve with foreign and domestic techs by phone and online support. • Perform electrical building maintenance. • Assist with electrical PM as needed. • Proficient with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. • Fluent with schematics and blueprints. • 480V 3 phase wiring expertise. • Comfortable working independently. Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED preferred. • Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with contractors, service techs (onsite/phone support), and fellow employees. • Understands various aspects of an industrial facility including structural, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. • Ability to work additional hours and weekends as necessary to meet business plan objectives. • Proficiency in MS Excel & Word is a plus. • Proficient with industrial trouble shooting skills. • Proficient with various software and drives. • Fluent with schematics and blueprints. • 480V 3 phase wiring experience. • Proficiency in MS Excel & Word is a plus • Strong industrial trouble shooting skills. • CNC background a plus. • 4 years manufacturing experience preferred. • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues. Machines/Tools/Equipment: • Voltmeter, conduit benders, assortment of hand and small power tools, computer, basic office equipment, tow motor, etc. Safety: Employees are expected to follow all facility safety guidelines that include adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety as outlined during their training. Working Conditions: • Manufacturing environment working around machinery, moving equipment, and loud noise (hearing protection required) • Environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to a wide range of temperatures (temperature varies depending on work/machine location and ranges from 50 degree F to 100 degree F). • Possibility of outside work in all types of weather conditions (including heat, cold, rain, and snow). We are seeking qualified and experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our growing team. This role includes work across commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
