POSITION OVERVIEW Plan and execute electrical installations. Maintain and repair electrical equipment, electronic devices, control instrumentation and circuitry utilized in the operation of plant machinery. JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities) Plan and execute installation, modifications, and repairs on all production and auxiliary equipment, including multi-spindle bar machines, internal and external grinders, heat treat equipment, pumps, compressors, and chip crusher. Develop new circuits or revise old electrical circuits. Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams, schematics, ladder logics and basic machine language. Will repair or calibrate instrumentation devices or circuits. Must understand solid state circuitry. Work with other maintenance personnel. Perform other maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, welding, and machine repair. Analyze and take corrective action on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine malfunction. Assist in the installation or relocation of equipment including unloading and moving to location. Work with machine tool company representatives when new equipment is being installed and tested. Work with and instruct lower classification maintenance people for the benefit of the employees, upgrading of skills, and improving the quality of the work force. Work with many other plant employees including production workers, engineering department, safety engineer, and department supervisors. Will work on various electrical or mechanical projects throughout the plant (i.e., installing phone lines, repairing circuit boards, wiring, etc.) Must know the Nation Electrical Code and be familiar with OSHA electrical requirements in order to ensure the safety of all equipment and operator. Must follow all company established safety guidelines. Complete maintenance portion of work order following the completion of the assigned job. Refer to mechanic or supervisor as necessary. Electrical Engineer

Our growing manufacturing client, located in north-central Indiana, is seeking an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will design, develop and test all aspects of electrical switchgear and controls while providing engineering support for projects with emphases on system integration wiring. Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities: • Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical switchgear and controls. • Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as three phase switchgear, low and medium voltage power equipment, motorized louver control systems, house electrical schemes, PLC based controls, etc. • May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of electrical products. • Helps in testing of electrical products by providing technical assistance for both switchgear and generator testing. This includes the development of test fixtures and equipment, as necessary. • Work with outside suppliers and companies to specify purchased parts as needed. • Lead and participate in project reviews as needed to evaluate or investigate issues. • Maintain and implement engineering documentation in accordance with company standards. • Provide engineering support for shop floor projects with particular emphasis on system integration wiring. Electrical Engineer Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology AND 1+ years' experience in the field or in a related area. • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical engineering field, specifically of 120v/240v/480v AC systems. • Working knowledge of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional CAD software – SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience preferred. • Reliable and predictable attendance required.
