This role provides a valuable development opportunity for individuals seeking to advance in electrical inspection or code enforcement. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the electrical trade through employment, apprenticeship, or formal training. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Indiana Building Code (IBC). Ability to read and understand electrical plans and simple diagrams. Familiarity with basic electrical testing tools such as multimeters and circuit testers. Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong communication skills for working with contractors, developers, and the public. Ability to work under the guidance of the Senior Electrical Inspector and demonstrate initiative in learning. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Spend significant time performing field inspections, which involve walking, climbing, kneeling, and navigating active construction sites. Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction environments is expected. Office duties require the use of computers and other electronic devices to complete reports and manage documentation.
