The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about electrical equipment, commercial and residential building electrical systems, electric design, and construction. The position is fast-paced and requires the ability to pivot from the early conceptual phase of a project (pre-construction) through the completion of final construction. The job involves field inspections, surveys, construction management, and in-office work preparing electrical cost estimates. The position requires underlying experience as an electrician and proficiency in working safely around electrical gear. The candidate must also be able to electrically test meters, climb a ladder, work on roofs, and interact with customers at the farm, residential, and commercial facilities. The work includes performing site surveys, evaluating field electrical conditions, developing the electrical scope of work, collaborating with in-house engineering and electrical subcontractors, and preparing electrical cost estimates. During the construction phase, manage a portion of solar projects during construction. The position will be split between electrical cost estimating and construction management.
