ELECTRICIAN-FT

DUTIES: Installation, repair, and adjustment to electrical circuits. Replaces defective wiring, switches, fuses, bulbs, starters, controls, etc., using electrical testing equipment. Recommends and performs preventative maintenance. Maintains own tools, gauges, and equipment. Advises supervisor of possible areas of attention by other trade specialists and/or safety hazards. Directs work of General Maintenance worker when assistance is required. Works any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Performs other duties as assigned and assists other employees as required. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will consider applicants without diploma based upon experience demonstrating required abilities and skills. Must obtain and maintain a valid Indiana’s Driver’s License. Work consists of repetitive tasks and operations. Must possess and maintain an electrician’s license valid with the Vanderburgh County Building Commission. Must possess knowledge of the specialized tools of the craft. Responsibilities: • Design control systems for electrically powered equipment, including hoists, vertical belts, and skip loading systems. • Design medium- and low-voltage site power distribution systems for mining and heavy civil construction projects. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with a team of engineers. • Work with vendors to specify and procure standard (off-the-shelf) components. • Review designs to ensure fit, function, and engineering accuracy . • Ensure final designs meet customer requirements and internal standards .
