About the position Responsibilities • Wire and install electrical components, switch gear, electrical switches, and electronic instruments and devices, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, and breakers. • Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions or failures of operational equipment and make necessary repairs. • Conduct electrical testing and recommend or initiate modifications or replacements of equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards. • Work from schematics, diagrams, and written and verbal instructions. • Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components, recording effects on unit performance. Requirements • Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics. • Industrial knowledge of electrical equipment and devices common to the industry. • Understanding of high voltage electrical systems. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment.
