Lead Electrician - Residential Solar Installation

eEquals, a leading solar installation company on a mission to bring clean energy to communities, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Lead Electrician to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Electrical Teams, you will play a vital role with solar panel installations, maintenance, and repairs. Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair residential solar systems. • Perform electrical troubleshooting and provide solutions for solar installations. • Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes. • Collaborate with installation teams to ensure seamless project execution. • Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with OSHA regulations. • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time. • Deliver excellent customer service by effectively communicating with clients. Other requirements: • Licensing: Licensed electrician (preferred) or equivalent certification. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in installing and maintaining solar systems, including knowledge of SolarEdge and Enphase systems. • Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written. • Certifications: OSHA-10 certification and a general understanding of overall safety requirements. • Other Requirements: Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and collaborate with teammates on field and project status. • Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the criteria to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy. • Other Duties as Assigned. Diagnose problems using the following tools: Digital multimeter, schematics, PLC/Drive logic SW diagnostic tools, and other specialty software as needed. 4. Replace defective control system components, recommission and verify correct operations according to the process. 5.Use an iPad to accurately track working time and details about the repair in SAP/PUMA. 6. Communicate with maintenance, engineering and production personnel in a positive and professional manner. 7. Follow LOTO procedures and wear proper PPE to maintain a safe working environment. 8. Execute small mechanical repairs 9. Troubleshoot and repair/replace computer/IPC hardware including backing up of SW according to procedures. 10. Maintain power transformers. (4160, 460, 460/110) and lighting transformers. (4160/277) 11. Assist the Area Engineer in keeping the maintenance of web pages up to date by identifying obsolete information, adding new instructions, drawings and manuals. 12. Be compliant with all plant, corporate, Continental, safety, Illinois and government codes, standards and policies. 13. Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Department Manager. 14. Assist maintenance supervisor in daily duties. 15.
