Summary: This position is responsible for physical and mechanical condition of the building, utility systems, facility, and production equipment. Perform a variety of general repairs, installations, and maintenance to support production and process equipment. Maintain facility equipment, building and utility systems such as boilers, chillers, and water, air, and gas lines. Maintain a variety of electrical, PLC and electronic equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and replace worn or defective parts. Inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance duties. Essential Duties: • Determine, acquire, and Install parts and hardware needed to maintain equipment uptime targets and facility reliability. • Perform advanced troubleshooting work with minimum supervision and provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff or production associates. • Document maintenance activities In MMS applications and perform in-depth shift turnover, • Adhere to plant safety programs (LOTO, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, etc....) • Execute preventive maintenance of required production and facility equipment through use of the work instructions, equipment manuals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. • Monitor/maintain facility equipment such as, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, chillers. • Bend and install conduit, pull, and terminate wires, replace motors as needed. • Make repairs on electric power devices, tools, lights and fuses up to 480vac. • Aid in building security, operate alarm and fire protection systems. • Perform welding as required and could involve AWS D1.1 Certification Training. • Must be willing to work any shift, including 8-hour, 10 hours, or 12-hour rotating. • Specialized training in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent experience, • Experience in three or more maintenance disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, etc. • Working knowledge of conveyors, gear reduction and torque calculations, materials of construction, bearings, lubricants, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Experience with Electrical Systems and National Electric Code. • Working knowledge of PLC programming, industrial controls, AC and DC drives, facility equipment, schematics, controls troubleshooting/diagnosis, systems design, etc. • Extensive knowledge and experience with LOTO, confined space, fall protection and electrical hazard best practices and regulatory requirements. • Proficient with MMS and MS applications.
