PLC Electrical Specialist

Join our dynamic Snacks plant team as a PLC Electrical Specialist. This full-time, on-site position operates during the night shift from Monday to Friday, offering a competitive pay rate of $40.97 per hour. As a vital contributor to our commitment to safety and quality, you will be instrumental in identifying and preventing issues within the plant environment. Your expertise will directly influence our safety goals, ensuring that both employees and products are protected. You will also mentor your colleagues on safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety and productivity. A Taste of What You'll Be Doing • Ensuring Safety Compliance - Adhere to employee safety policies, GMP standards, OSHA regulations, and food safety protocols. • Maintaining Equipment - Install and maintain all plant electrical and electronic equipment, including motors, controls, PLCs, AC/DC drives, and computerized systems. • Troubleshooting - Reduce downtime by swiftly and accurately troubleshooting PLC programs and electrical/electronic circuitry and equipment. • Preventive Maintenance - Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electronic plant equipment. • Consulting on Controls - Provide expert advice on electrical and electronic controls for new and existing equipment. We're Looking for Someone With • Proven knowledge and experience in electricity and electronics principles. • Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship or 8000 hours of hands-on experience, or a 2-year Associate Degree in electrical technology, or equivalent experience in a heavy industrial environment. • Experience in troubleshooting PLC programs and hardware. • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley RS Logix software and HMI controls. • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code. • Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics. • Competence in operating various electrical test equipment and troubleshooting electrical circuits. We're Looking for Someone With • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the principles of electricity and electronics. • Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship or 8000 hours of practical experience and training in this area, or a 2-year Associate Degree in electrical/electrical technology, or 4 years electrical experience in a heavy industrial environment, or Journeyman status from a recognized state department of labor or US Department of Labor program. • Experience troubleshooting PLC programs and hardware. • Experience with Allen-Bradley RS Logix software and HMI control. • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code. • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic/mechanical drawings, prints, schematics, and computer programs. • Ability to operate and interpret all types of electrical test equipment and troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical/electronic circuits and equipment.
