WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: • Retrieve and review all customer specification documents, notes, sales quotes, vendor quotes, drawings, and diagrams provided for the purposes of designing a product for the customer. • May revise drawings and designs based on change orders and customer requests. • Research specific electrical code and regulation requirements related to buildings/projects being designed, as needed. • Meet with the customer to accurately interpret design specifications, as requested through Project Management. • Coordinate and communicate with staff members in engineering, production, design, and management to ensure designs meet customer expectations. • Work with manufacturing staff to interpret designs, answer questions, and make changes as needed. • Prepare Bill of Materials and electrical drawing packages for review. • Analyze specifications and performance requirements to ensure that designs meet specifications. • Assist in creating standards for improvement in efficiency. • Perform additional duties as requested. YOU HAVE: • High school diploma or equivalency (GED) preferred. Role Description NETA Certified Technicians lead field teams in the Dalton, GA area. These technicians are experts in testing and troubleshooting power systems for customers who demand reliability. AMP Quality Energy Services expects our level 3 and 4 technicians to mentor and train the next generation of Electrical test Technicians as they work on meaningful projects across the southeast. Responsibilities • Be a team player who is willing to develop and lead technicians of varying skill levels • Lead and drive the Culture, Purpose, Vision, and Values of AMP in the field to our team and customers • Carry out all testing procedures. Develop new procedures when necessary. • Supervise and manage technician teams in the field, ensuring efficient testing processes are followed. • Be meticulous and troubleshoot problems, as well as diagnose and repair faults. • Understand and analyze data and prepare reports for customers. • Professionally interact with customers, and foster partner relationships to exceed client expectations. • Ensure a safe working environment for all involved. Comply with all safety requirements. • Run project teams and lead junior technicians to successful project completion. Manage kick-off, status, and closeout meetings as necessary. • Be a subject matter expert on power systems testing, who can assist and advise team members. • Performs other duties as assigned. Expectations • 5 years of related experience • NETA Certification required • Data center acceptance testing experience is preferred • Ability and willingness to work extended hours to achieve customer success • Must be legally eligible to operate a motor vehicle with a satisfactory driving history • CDL preferred but not required • Live or be willing to relocate to the Dalton metropolitan area. • Able and willing to travel domestically (Anticipate 25% or less) Capabilities • Frequent standing, sitting and walking. • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. • Continuous mental and visual attention, requiring constant alertness or activity. • Ability to talk and hear and see up close and far away.
