Summary We are seeking a skilled subcontractor Electrician to join our dedicated maintenance team at Stevens Realty LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems of our rental properties are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential properties. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine wiring layouts. • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all electrical work. • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues. • Utilize power tools and testing equipment such as ammeters and ohmmeters effectively. • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address electrical concerns promptly. • Provide recommendations for upgrades or improvements to existing electrical systems. • Document all work performed for compliance and reporting purposes. Qualifications • Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a residential or commercial setting. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage, high voltage, and NEC regulations. • Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. • Familiarity with power tools and testing equipment such as ammeters and ohmmeters. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on various tasks. Position Title: Electrical Engineer Pay Grade: M Department: Energy FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Director Safety Sensitive: Yes Position Supervises: No Date Approved: 10/2013 On-call Required: Yes Date Revised: 07/2024 JOB SUMMARY: This position works under the general supervision of the Director and provides engineering support for the Energy Department including Electric and Gas Divisions. RESPONSIBILITIES: % of Time Essential / Marginal Provides direction to Engineering Division to ensure compliance with TVPPA, NESC and ANSI codes. Provides system data on request. 25% E Performs and approves engineering calculations related to line design and operation. Assists in system planning, develops equipment specifications as required. 25% E Develops and recommends policies related to new service and line extension. Recommends and coordinates system maintenance and renovation. 25% E Coordinates work by outside engineering firms on special projects. A.) from an accredited four-year college or university in electrical engineering* • Four (4) to six (6) years of electric distribution engineering experience* Valid driver's license • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of electrical distribution engineering experience WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical: Work requires use of a personal computer and tasks performed in an office setting such as moving about an office to access cabinets, etc. and moving objects that weigh up to ten pounds. Work involves driving to job sites and walking to inspect sites and facilities. Most work is done in an office environment. Environmental: This position primarily works in an office setting. May infrequently be exposed to noise and dirt and all extremes of weather in the field. Subject to call-out during emergencies or system shutdowns.
