MANUFACTURING ELECTRICIAN LEVEL 2 - SWING SHIFT DAYS 7AM-7PM

Apache Mills, Inc., a worldwide leader in floor mat manufacturing, is “Moving Forward” as it continues to grow its manufacturing operations. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Maintenance Team as an Electricians. Responsibilities for the Electrician Level II include but are not limited to (this is not a complete job description): • 2-3 years of experience in industrial electrical • Should be able to check off all requirements in level 1 electrician. • Knowledge of how to troubleshoot 480 vac/120 vac/208 vac/24 vdc. • Basic knowledge of how to control circuits and wiring work • repairing, maintaining, and installing manufacturing machinery and supporting equipment to maximize utilization • performing routine maintenance and electrical repairs in the manufacturing and distribution areas • troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical systems • reading and understanding blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects • identifying opportunities for electrical system improvements and communicating those to a member of management • working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment • meeting or exceeding company quality standards • maintaining regular and predictable attendance • complying with company processes and procedures • following verbal and written instructions • standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching while working on machinery or equipment • ability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis • working cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors • performing job duties in variable weather conditions (including hot weather) • ensuring good housekeeping of all areas on company premises • successfully completing drug and background screenings • knowledge of electrical systems and schematics • previous experience with using hand and power tools • power industrial truck certification • demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment • ability to read and understand English • working 12-hour shifts, must work every other weekend Apache Mills, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class. B Shift Electrician - (Commercial)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrician will provide electrical support to the Extrusion Department regarding equipment troubleshooting, electrical device installation, new equipment installation, and process improvements. The Electrician will work in conjunction with the maintenance, production, and engineering departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct advanced troubleshooting of equipment and/or processes through the effective use of electrical theory, meters, equipment manuals and schematics, and any other resource(s) available. • Troubleshoot motors, controllers, and advanced motor controls, such as VFD’s, technical sensors, lasers, and situation monitors. • Assist the maintenance staff in operational debug of machine controllers, motors, motor controls, sensors, and all other related components in a timely and efficient manner utilizing Tarkett standard techniques and approach. • Communicate with the project “team” to ensure a constant level of project awareness. • Collaborate with the controls engineer and/or controls technician, who is responsible for ensuring all schematics and/or backup programs of PLC’s, HMI, camera systems, etc, are kept current and correct. • Other duties as directed by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: • Electrical Schooling or training and 3 years of electrical experience is a plus. • Must be able to use power tools and electrical test equipment. • Must be able to run conduit and pull wire. • Must be able to size starters, breakers and other electrical components. • Must have knowledge of AC and DC drives. • Must have a basic knowledge of PLC’s. • Must be able to operate a lift truck, scissor lift and other motorized equipment. • Must be trained in and accountable for lock-out / tag-out policies and procedures. • Must be able to bend, climb, stretch, lift, and kneel. • Must be able to work without direct supervision. • Must be a self-starter and team player capable of multitasking and prioritizing projects. • Must be able to initiate and install suggestions for upgrading electrical components and improving manufacturing processes. • Must be able to read and understand basic wiring schematics and calculate electrical loads. • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime on a regular basis WORK SCHEDULES/HOURS: • Sunday through Tuesday, 7 am to 7 pm (A Shift) • Sunday through Tuesday, 7 pm to 7 am (B Shift) • Thursday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm (C Shift) • Thursday through Saturday, 7 pm to 7 am (D Shift) What We Offer • A commitment that Safety is #1 • Competitive benefits, pay, and retirement plan options! • Career growth, stability, and flexible work arrangements.
