We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Maintenance Team as an Electricians. The Maintenance Electrician Level I will learn and asssist with various tasks under supervision of his or her trainer. This will include performing routine maintenance when there is no electrical work, assisting with repairs, installing and wiring hardware like switches circuit breakers and conduit. At the electrical level I will also maintain the work areas and gain skills in other areas of the plant while also adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Responsibilities for the Electrician Level I include but are not limited to (this is not a complete job description): • 1-2 years of industrial electrical experience or a degree • Basic knowledge of 480 vac/120 vac/208 vac/24vdc • Arc flash training • Mechanical knowledge • Knowledge of running the conduit and sizing wire for loads that will be run • Ability to read and use multi meter/amp clamp • Ability to read tape measure • Ability to use a caliper measuring tool (digital, vernier or depth) • Basic math skills/read and write in English • Basic knowledge of tools • Problem solving • Communications skills • Follow all P.P.E and safety rules within the plant. • Maintain regular and predictable attendance. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures. • Work safely in a fast-paced production environment. • Work cooperatively, courteously and respectfully with all team members. • Ensure good housekeeping in all areas of your department. • Follow all jewelry policies and hair policies according to the Apache Mills Code of Conduct • Follow verbal and written instructions. • Any other duties as deemed necessary by shift supervisor or lead. • Assisting team members in need of assistance. • Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs required. • Meeting or exceeding company quality standards • Maintaining regular and predictable attendance • Standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching while working on machinery or equipment • Ability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis • Performing job duties in variable weather conditions (including hot weather) • Successfully completing drug and background screenings • Knowledge of electrical systems and schematics • Previous experience with using hand and power tools • Power industrial truck certification • Working 12 hours shift. must work. • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment • Ability to read and understand English. See More Details >>POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrician will provide electrical support to the Extrusion Department regarding equipment troubleshooting, electrical device installation, new equipment installation, and process improvements. The Electrician will work in conjunction with the maintenance, production, and engineering departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct advanced troubleshooting of equipment and/or processes through the effective use of electrical theory, meters, equipment manuals and schematics, and any other resource(s) available. • Troubleshoot motors, controllers, and advanced motor controls, such as VFD’s, technical sensors, lasers, and situation monitors. • Assist the maintenance staff in operational debug of machine controllers, motors, motor controls, sensors, and all other related components in a timely and efficient manner utilizing Tarkett standard techniques and approach. • Communicate with the project “team” to ensure a constant level of project awareness. • Collaborate with the controls engineer and/or controls technician, who is responsible for ensuring all schematics and/or backup programs of PLC’s, HMI, camera systems, etc, are kept current and correct. • Other duties as directed by the supervisor.
