Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet safety standards and comply with local codes. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete electrical tasks. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. • Work with high voltage and low voltage systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety. • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project completion. • Renovate existing electrical systems to enhance efficiency and safety. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical installations. • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and codes throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician or similar role in the construction industry. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including logic controllers and circuit design. • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. • Valid electrician's license or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
