JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for electrical troubleshooting machine problems, day-to-day maintenance of electrical components, preventative maintenance of medium and low voltage electrical system and doing whatever it takes to make production facilities to operate smoothly. The successful candidate must be a team player, maintaining a clean working environment, and complying with company rules and regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Repair and maintain machinery and electrical equipment such as AC/DC Drives, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, conveyor systems, and process equipment. · Perform electrical/mechanical testing to determine cause of failures and recommend solutions that will put equipment back into service. · Through evaluation of existing equipment; recommend, design, and/or install upgrades that will improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process. The Electrician 2 rate is reserved for thoroughly experienced and highly proficient electrical maintenance employees who have mastered all Electrician 1 skills and achieved the skills and qualifications required for Electrician 2 according to the current certification plan. A satisfactory performance evaluation is also required. The Electrician 2 must possess outstanding job knowledge and must have the ability to identify necessary repairs and repair parts required. Maintenance personnel will also be required to perform other duties as required. The required technical/non-technical skills are listed below. Responds to corrective maintenance cases to troubleshoot, test, and repair on an as needed basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Update the site superintendent if the PV system is not set up correctly before the end of the construction. • Verify that applicable equipment and systems are installed according to contract documents, manufacturer recommendations and industry accepted best practices. • DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, insulation resistance testing. • Identify unsafe work or operating conditions and take proper action to neutralize hazards. • Ensuring the vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for. • Work as a solar farm crew member on an as needed basis with the Construction department. • Cutting, bending, threading and running electrical conduit materials. • Wire pulling and management experience. • Experience running rigid conduit. • Must be able to bend offset, 3 points, 4 points saddles, 90’s etc. • Work with the Operations & Maintenance department on an as needed basis to ensure the PV system is receiving it normal scheduled maintenance. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Must have 4-5 yrs. Experience as a commercial journeyman Electrical • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrical helper. • NABCEP PV Installer certification preferred • 2-4 years of verifiable electrical installation experience. • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices • Clear understanding of OSHA safe workplace practices and procedure • Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams • Ability to complete tasks with minimal oversight. • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
