Learn more: jti.com Electrician The position exists to ensure readiness and proper functioning of machines in the production line (filter making, making / packing and auxiliary equipment), meeting production requirements, JTI quality and other standards at the lowest possible cost.The Electrician is responsible to perform regular maintenance checks / activities and whenever required repair the machines in an efficient and quality manner in order to ensure the smooth execution of the production process.During line operation supports operators in execution of production in line with operation instruction and safety and quality standards. Areas Of Responsibility • Qualified machine maintenance & repair: Ensuring proper functioning of the machines in filter production, cigarette production and packaging, by carrying out machine set-up, conversions, adjustments, cleaning, maintenance and required electrical repairs, including removal of electrical line defects in order to reach maximum line efficiency. The incumbent performs continuous monitoring and inspection of all electrical machine functions as well all essential parameter regulations and measurements. • Spare parts management: Performing regular inspection and preventive maintenance of machines and production systems according to JTI standards. Responsible for spare parts condition assessment and orders spare parts in SAP system in line with spare parts management rules. Planning and requesting spare parts in optimal time and quantities (order, receipt and timely installation of spare parts on the production lines). • Troubleshooting activities: Executing troubleshooting activities to assure quality and efficiency of production run during assigned production shift. Constantly monitoring line operation by means of stoppage and breakdown data analysis. Performing corrective and preventive activities according to line needs. Sharing all needed information with other electricians and mechanical technicians working in subsequent shifts and utilizing all collected knowledge for proper planning of shift and machine maintenance. • Ensuring quality and working on Continuous Improvement: Ensures process control equipment operation through monitoring and adjustments in order to keep high product quality and adherence to JTI's quality standards. Developing suggestions how to improve the functioning of the existing equipment and implementing suggestions from other employees. Working on the Continuous Improvement (CI) of processes within Make Pack, as well as machines and systems used in production of semi-finished and finished products as per JTI standards. Ensures production area cleanliness, compliance with 5S3R standards and waste segregation. Ensures completeness and condition of own working tools. Support and play an active role in companywide CI initiatives such as IWS - Integrated Work System. • Safety: Adhering to operational, legal and official regulations on occupational safety and accident prevention. Understanding health and safety aspects of own work, identify potential hazards and always makes own workplace healthy and safe. Demonstrating safe behavior, reporting incidents and near misses to the supervisor, reporting identified unsafe conditions and behaviors and eliminating them within their own authority. See More Details >>Summary: The Journeyman Electrician will work within a team to perform a variety of task as required to operate utility PV systems including preventative maintenance, construction of solar farm, and commissioning of solar farms. Responds to corrective maintenance cases to troubleshoot, test, and repair on an as needed basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Update the site superintendent if the PV system is not set up correctly before the end of the construction. • Verify that applicable equipment and systems are installed according to contract documents, manufacturer recommendations and industry accepted best practices. • DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, insulation resistance testing. • Identify unsafe work or operating conditions and take proper action to neutralize hazards. • Ensuring the vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for. • Work as a solar farm crew member on an as needed basis with the Construction department. • Cutting, bending, threading and running electrical conduit materials. • Wire pulling and management experience. • Experience running rigid conduit. • Must be able to bend offset, 3 points, 4 points saddles, 90’s etc. • Work with the Operations & Maintenance department on an as needed basis to ensure the PV system is receiving it normal scheduled maintenance. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Must have 4-5 yrs. Experience as a commercial journeyman Electrical • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrical helper. • NABCEP PV Installer certification preferred • 2-4 years of verifiable electrical installation experience. • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices • Clear understanding of OSHA safe workplace practices and procedure • Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams • Ability to complete tasks with minimal oversight. • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
