The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the planning, development, installation, connection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment and electrical systems. Maintenance personnel must be able to work in different environments, problem solve, and use tools and equipment appropriate for each job. Work will vary from day to day depending upon the needs of the plant to maintain production. The Electrician must be self-motivated, able to complete jobs in a timely manner and must be able to work productively with other employees. Job Specifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • 2-years' work experience as an industrial electrician or an Industrial Technology Certificate or an associate degree in Industrial Electrical Technology or a Journeyman’s Card as an Industrial Electrician. • All selected candidates will be required to pass a written, standardized mechanical test. • Shifts are 12-hours and work weeks alternate between 36 and 48-hours. • Compensation is based on aptitude and experience. • Additional overtime opportunities.

Electrical Technican

The ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN is responsible for ensuring equipment is repaired in a safe, professional, prompt manner, minimizing downtime while maximizing the production of a quality product. The ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN is responsible for troubleshooting and repairs for all electrical/electronic equipment through the use of work orders. • Prioritize work requests in order of equipment criticality, as directed by supervision. • Address other work orders and infrared survey items when time allows. • Perform duties in keeping with set standards and specifications such as calibration of load cells and other instrumentation items. • Responsible for tagging parts to be sent out for repairs as well as filling out the proper paperwork relating to repair work. • Work closely with shift mechanics on problem resolution. • Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly. • Responsible for safe work habits and ensuring that all equipment operates in a safe manner. • Other duties as they arise and are assigned by management such as, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, civil, operational, administrative, etc. duties.

Journeyman Electrician - Danville, VA

Summary: The Journeyman Electrician will work within a team to perform a variety of task as required to operate utility PV systems including preventative maintenance, construction of solar farm, and commissioning of solar farms. Responds to corrective maintenance cases to troubleshoot, test, and repair on an as needed basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Update the site superintendent if the PV system is not set up correctly before the end of the construction. • Verify that applicable equipment and systems are installed according to contract documents, manufacturer recommendations and industry accepted best practices. • DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, insulation resistance testing. • Identify unsafe work or operating conditions and take proper action to neutralize hazards. • Ensuring the vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for. • Work as a solar farm crew member on an as needed basis with the Construction department. • Cutting, bending, threading and running electrical conduit materials. • Wire pulling and management experience. • Experience running rigid conduit. • Must be able to bend offset, 3 points, 4 points saddles, 90’s etc. • Work with the Operations & Maintenance department on an as needed basis to ensure the PV system is receiving it normal scheduled maintenance. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Must have 4-5 yrs. Experience as a commercial journeyman Electrical • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrical helper. • NABCEP PV Installer certification preferred • 2-4 years of verifiable electrical installation experience. • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices • Clear understanding of OSHA safe workplace practices and procedure • Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams • Ability to complete tasks with minimal oversight. • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. PPE personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; hard hat, steel toed shoes, rubber insulated gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection) • Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk short distances for 8-10 hours a day. • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. #LI-SS1 Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
