Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee commercial electrical construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of the electrical construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members. Responsibilities • Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies. • Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors and laborers. • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of plans. • Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee that work meets industry standards and client expectations. • Utilize construction management software for project tracking, scheduling, and reporting. • Maintaining the project schedule and ensuring milestones are met, by assisting the Project Manager and Site Supervision in monitoring and organizing manpower needs. • Direct the scheduling and coordinating the delivery/pick-up of materials, tools, and equipment for all projects. • Ensuring code compliance and specification requirements are met through regular site walk-throughs. • Provide the main layer of quality control for the assigned project and ensure that a high level of quality is maintained. • Develop team-building strategies and arrange staff as necessary to allow for professional development of all field employees assigned to the project. • Being a liaison between the office and field staff, ensuring continuity of information. • Making sure the required documentation is completed in the field, including safety sheets, timesheets, etc. • Enforcing safety rules and regulations, by checking that the proper paperwork and inspections are being performed. • Coaching and training field staff to be better equipped to take on more responsibility and prepare them for the next level of their career. • Mitigating risk by looking for possible future problems and adjusting accordingly. • Attend subcontractor meetings as needed. • Attend financial meetings as needed. • Other responsibilities and duties as necessary. Skills • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation. • Strong leadership and team building skills. • Strong understanding of quality control processes within the construction industry. • Experience with ProCore, ProjectSight, SharePoint, & other construction software for document management and collaboration. • Ability to read and understand schematics related to various construction projects. • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on efficiency and safety.
