Ready to take the next step? We will make this process easy for you! Manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in their manufacturing project engineering team. The Electrical Engineer will report to the Project Engineering Manager, and will assist with electrical projects at the plant, and electrical troubleshooting. Daily responsibilities will include: Project Management & Leadership • Oversee electrical related projects with varying budgets and timelines, including completing cost justifications and ROI. • Oversee engineering projects and preventative maintenance initiatives. • Research and coordinate cost justification for new projects and present to upper management for approval. • Communicate with internal and external partners on the status of electrical troubleshooting and project timelines, including coordinating and leading teams. Technical & Troubleshooting • Research and identify electrical issues in the plant and propose electrical solutions. • Support manufacturing and maintenance by troubleshooting and programming PLCs, HMIs, and robots. • Support other engineers with electrical needs for new manufacturing cells and lines. • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical to view schematics for panels and vendor schematics. Continuous Improvement & Analysis • Establish continuous improvement directives related to PLCs, robotics, and electrical. • Complete detailed data analysis. General Engineering Support • Other engineering tasks as assigned by management. Candidates should be interested in participating in teams to meet electrical project initiatives. Candidates should be interested and motivated to manage their own projects eventually with minimal supervision, be able to build rapport on the manufacturing floor and enjoy working within a team of engineers. This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 30% of their day, potentially more during project work. Individuals should have excellent floor communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with front line associates. This position offers a combination of troubleshooting, programming and project work. Medical benefits are available the first of the month after 30 days of employment. This position does require candidates to work over holiday shutdowns and some weekends to complete projects (comp time will be granted for holiday shutdowns and weekend hours worked). REQUIREMENTS for the Electrical Engineer: 1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologies highly preferred 2. At least 3-5 years in a similar electrical engineering position, ideally in manufacturing or at an integrator 3. Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs 4. Project management skills, including management of timelines and ideally budgets 5. Ability to read electrical schematics 6. Working knowledge of arc flash 7. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Skills preferred but NOT required: 1. Automotive manufacturing work experience 2. Exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies 3. Robotics 4.
