Electrician - Maintenance - 2nd Shift

Position Summary • * • Electricians perform electrical functions including maintenance and repair of machines and electrical systems in the plant.* • PM checks and documentation necessary for compliance and customer requirements. • Technology and automation implemented across the plant will replace current paper-based and manual operations and processes. • Ensure all HBD Safety Policies and Procedures are followed when performing job duties. • Perform electrical duties associated with the construction, installation, and repairs of plant equipment. • Perform electrical services to ensure continuous and reliable operation of plant equipment. • Install new electrical services to equipment and complete all assigned preventative maintenance. • Utilize established lockout/tag procedures when performing electrical duties and/or electrical testing, and when operating or attending equipment. • Exercise good housekeeping in maintenance shop area and perform clean-up after each maintenance job throughout facility. • Perform other duties in the job classification as directed by supervision. • * • Required Skills:* • Must have a High School Diploma or GED • Must be able to read, write and comprehend basic schematics • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated electrical experience • Demonstrated experience working with 480v and control voltage • Experienced in working with contactors, sensors, relays and stop/start circuits preferred • * • Physical Demands* • The ability to use hand tools on a regular basis • The ability to climb up onto and down from equipment on a regular basis • The ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly on a regular basis • The ability to stand continuously on a regular basis • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis • The ability to exert medium force occasionally up to 50 lbs., and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects • The ability to work flexible and long hours HBD Industries is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to work in their manufacturing project engineering team. The Electrical Project Engineer will report to the Project Engineering Manager, and will assist with electrical projects at the plant, and electrical troubleshooting. Daily responsibilities will include: • Eventually, oversee electrical related projects with varying budgets and timelines, including completing costs justification and ROI • Research and identify electrical issues in the plant and propose electrical solutions • Support manufacturing and maintenance by troubleshooting and programming PLCs, HMIs and robots • Oversee engineering projects and preventative maintenance initiatives • Support other engineers with electrical needs for new manufacturing cells and lines • Establish continuous improvement directives related to PLCs, robotics and electrical • Complete detailed data analysis • Research and coordinate cost justification for new projects and present to upper management for approval • Communicate with internal and external partners on the status of electrical troubleshooting and project timelines, including coordinating and leading teams • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical to view schematics for panels and vendor schematics • Other engineering tasks as assigned by management Candidates should be interested in participating in teams to meet electrical project initiatives. Candidates should be interested and motivated to manage their own projects eventually with minimal supervision, be able to build rapport on the manufacturing floor and enjoy working within a team of engineers. This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 30% of their day, potentially more during project work. Individuals should have excellent floor communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with front line associates. This position offers a combination of troubleshooting, programming and project work. Medical benefits are available the first of the month after 30 days of employment. This position does require candidates to work over holiday shutdowns and some weekends to complete projects (comp time will be granted for holiday shutdowns and weekend hours worked).
